MCA Extends Due Date for DIR-3 KYC Filing to 31st October 2025
The Ministry of Corporate affairs has issued a circular extending the KYC filing for Directors in e-form DIR-3 KYC and DIR-3KYC Web form from 15th October to 31st October 2025 vide circular 05/2025.
Earlier, the deadline was extended to 15th October 2025 vide circular number 04/2025.Further extension till 31st October 2025 has been granted by MCA.
About DIR-3 KYC
Every director in India who holds a Director Identification Number (DIN) on or before 31 March of the previous financial year must complete an annual KYC verification with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). This process is done through Form DIR-3 KYC to ensure that the personal details of all directors remain accurate and up to date in the MCA database.
The requirement applies even if the person is not presently a director in any company.
DIR-3 KYC Due Date and Late Fees

Note: If you miss the deadline, your DIN will be deactivated and shown as “Deactivated due to non-filing of KYC” on the MCA portal. The person cannot file any form or sign documents with the MCA. You can reactivate it only after paying the ₹ 5,000 penalty and completing the KYC.
Types of DIR-3 KYC Forms

Documents Required for DIR-3 KYC:
- PAN (Identity proof)
- Aadhaar Card / Passport (Mandatory for foreign nationals) / Voter ID / Driving Licence (Address proof)
- Email ID & Mobile Number (OTP verification)
- Digital Signature Certificate (For authenticating the form)
