The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme till 15th September 2026. Due to representation from various stakeholders, the Government has decided to extend the time limit. All the companies are encouraged to take note of this extension and file all pending returns by the extended date.
Earlier the Government had originally extended it from 15th July to 31st August 2026. Now,The government has extended it further to 15 September 2026.
This brings relief to all corporate offices that must file pending returns. Under the CCFS-2026 scheme, the company / inactive companies has an option to file all pending Annual Returns forms by paying only 10% of the additional fees applicable.
Inactive companies can change their status to Dormant by filing e-form MSC-01. This enables such companies to remain on the Register of companies with minimal compliance requirements
Companies that wish to close may file Form STK-2 by paying 25% of the applicable fees to strike off their company. This option enables inactive companies to get a fast track exit option , again, with minimal compliance requirement.
